Lua Programming with Roblox - 31st July to 3rd August 2017

This workshop is for children eager to go above and beyond the school curriculum; for those wanting to learn real, written programming using a game development engine - a natural progression to professional engines like Unity3D and Unreal Engine.

ROBLOX is a gaming platform using user-generated content, meaning that all the games on ROBLOX are created by children, for children. Games are made using basic 3d-modelling using LEGO-style bricks and Lua, a high-level programming language with applications in professional environments.

Our workshop will entail lesson-style sessions including quizzes, demonstrations, and aiding them in developing their own code. Each unit of work will be centred around making a game, and we would break all the areas of that game into smaller components that would teach them the cornerstones of programming. Subsequent units would focus on advanced programming concepts and would be explained in-depth, creating other fresh games. This course will put your child well ahead of the curve and teach skills that apply to professional work and advanced academics
